Hm. Seeing that my OTP's thread is kinda... er, floundering...
What is there to discuss anyway?
Eight straight hours of school does that to my brain.
Let's start with a question then, shall we?
Why RoLo? (out of all the other ships out there, I mean)

While not a RoLo shipper per se, I can understand the support and mass following this coupling has due to the mondo ammount of hints that Marvel has placed over the years. They have shared many kisses and tender moments over the years, only to have it dropped later on. I think a lot of RoLo's like the understanding the two have between each other- and even in the past when Wolvie was rougher around the edges, Storm stood toe to toe with him verbally and did not take anything from him. It's humourous to read their interaction in the 70s, 80s, and then 90s to watch it evolve from Storm being almost repulsed by him and Wolverine seeing her as little more than an African Princess, to helping each other deal with personal issues in the 80s, and then sharing lots of flirting in the 90s. This has cumulated into a bond of respect between the two. Unfortunately, I think the only reason Marvel might not bring this to the 616 (besides the obvious junk that is the Storm/BP wedding) is that they don't want to touch Wovlerine's 'badass bachelorhood' as I call it and don't worry about the OreO board seeming intimidating- we're collaborating on several fics over there and squealing over fan art too, so we're a noisy bunch when given tidbits of our shipping

*laugh* I can see your enthusiasm pretty clear. Although OreO works well, I prefer Romy and RoLo. Unless I see a real good OreO fic.
Marvel is being an arse right now. If it weren't for the fact that I absolutely love the X-Men, I would've gone DC ages ago. No offense to anyone who approves, but that Storm/BP wedding is, as you perfectly put it, pure junk. I'm hoping that something will suddenly snap and it so happens that the real Ororo is stuck somewhere in limbo and the girl BP is with is actually some clone.
*sigh*
As for RoLo, I'd just like to put it as this: their UST = major angst. And I love good angst. The tension is so thick you'd need a chainsaw to cut through it. A knife wouldn't suffice.

From my post on Comixfan and the SWotX Yahoo! Group... It's that time of the month again (no, not THAT time, not for me at least)...It is Sales n' Rankings time (for Oct' 2006): For the title that the 'Character formerly known as Storm' is appearing in... Oct'06: 83 BLACK PANTHER #21 26,077 Sep'06: 81 BLACK PANTHER #20 26,585 Feb'06: 80 BLACK PANTHER #13 26,054 (Lowest selling issue) Didn't this issue sell out? 'cause I am pretty sure I read somewhere that there is going to be a second printing for it. If that is the case, just how many copies does Marvel print for it? Just 26K? Rank... DOWN by 2 Sales... DOWN by 508 This puts it just *23* in front of the lowest selling issue (of this run). As for the next three, well, they are CW tie-ins and are going to sell atleast 100-150% more than the usual...won't they? Source: ICv2 ( www.icv2.com/articles/news/1850.html) BW
